As the founder of theSPACE (a regional incubator in Cairns, QLD), I’ve worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs across a wide audience, from high school students, SME’s, Governments to corporate employees to help them commercialise their ideas. Amongst many awards, I was named Innovation Champion in 2014 by the Minister of Innovation and Premier of QLD and was also inducted into the QLD Government Innovation Wall of Fame for our work in building the NQ startup & innovation ecosystem. Most recently I won a national challenge to work with SEGRA – Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia, to replicate the work we’ve done in Cairns throughout Regional Australia.
For many years now we’ve been learning and teaching best practice techniques for building startups, scalable innovation and effective ecosystem development to support ongoing growth. Taking what we’ve learned in Cairns we’ve developed programs for startups, established businesses, corporations and regions to assist them to be on the forefront of creativity and change.
